Intake and Exhaust Acoustic

GT-POWER is used for guiding the development of intake and exhaust systems, especially with respect to acoustic performance

Solution Overview

Accurate Frequency Predictions

The advanced Navier-Stokes based solver in GT-POWER intrinsically captures the pressure wave dynamics within the simulated system.  The pressure wave dynamics result in noise being propagated from the intake and exhaust openings of the engine, and GT-POWER is capable of predicting both the levels and quality (frequency content) of the noise from the exhaust tailpipe and intake snorkel.
Advanced 3D pre-processors allow for easy integration of even the most complex mufflers, air boxes, and more.
