Gamma Technologies, LLC (“GT”) is looking for a Tax & Compliance Manager to join its Finance and Accounting leadership team.
Position Summary
In this newly created, highly visible role, the ideal candidate will be responsible for leading and coordinating with external service providers and internal resources to effectively, accurately, and timely manage GT’s global compliance and filings.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop strategies and drive automation to achieve tax and operational efficiencies
- Review and/or prepare periodic tax and compliance filings
- Coordinate quarterly and annual external tax work and prepare all tax PBCs
- Manage third party vendors (US and non-US) engaged to support the organization’s tax activities and other ad hoc assignments
- Provide for internal sales/use tax requirements
- Serve as point for all income tax examinations by external governmental entities
- Function as the in-house tax subject matter expert on pre- and post-merger and acquisition activities, plan strategy, work closely with third party vendors on due diligence efforts, analyze results, and make recommendations
- Ensure compliance with credit agreement covenants and non-financial statement reporting requirements
- Onboard and educate new customers and vendors regarding tax compliance requirements and protocols, coordinate efforts with in-house counsel
- Lead the annual business insurance renewal, assessing risk exposure and adequacy of coverage for both US and non-US locations
- Through research and monitoring, ensure visibility to new legislative developments having a material impact on the company
- Build and maintain all necessary documentation to support established compliance processes and tax positions
Education, Experience, and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or similar analytical discipline; Master’s degree in Taxation and CPA designation strongly preferred
- 5 to 10 years’ corporate tax/compliance experience including the following:
- global tax regulations, international tax compliance, and foreign entity reporting practices
- the tax aspects of mergers and acquisitions
- research, data mining, and documentation of findings
- NetSuite and Avalara experience a plus
- Expert-level knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (“GAAP”) and application of Accounting Standards Codification (“ASC”) 740
- Solid understanding of the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA); in particular, its applicability to companies with a strong global presence
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills, with the ability to efficiently manipulate large amounts of data
- Comfortable in a hybrid environment, with virtual collaboration
