Sr. Engineer in Cylinder/Combustion Modeling

Gamma Technologies is looking for a highly motivated candidate to join our in-cylinder modelling group.  This position will be involved with the development of mathematical models for various in-cylinder processes.  The role requires good understanding of the thermodynamics, combustion and numerical methods.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop mathematical models for the in-cylinder processes like combustion, emissions, flow, turbulence, evaporation, mixing, heat transfer, etc.
  • Implement new models and/or refine the existing models in GT-SUITE software.
  • Calibrate the models with measured data.
  • Publish in scientific journals.

Basic Qualifications

  • PhD in Mechanical or Chemical engineering or any other area relevant to this position.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.6/4.0.
  • 2+ years of professional and/or graduate-level experience in developing mathematical models.

Highly Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience with any of the programming languages like FORTRAN, C, C++, etc.
  • Experience in combustion modeling in 1D and 3D flow domain.
  • Experience with chemical kinetics.
  • Experience with Stochastic Reactor Models (SRM).
