Position Summary
We are looking for a resourceful, diligent, gritty, and creative solver developer with a background in physics, engineering or applied math and a strong interest in programming to join our solver development group. You will design and develop interfaces between GT-SUITE and other 3D CFD tools and work on enhancing the solver infrastructure to ensure smooth communication between the solver other GT-SUITE applications. You will be able to see frequently the results of your efforts first-hand.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop, test and maintain software interfaces with 3rd party CFD tools to achieve robust and efficient co-simulation
- Assist customers who couple GT-SUITE with 3rd party CFD tools
- Participate effectively as part of a small team working to collaborate with 3rd party CFD tool vendors
- Use customer feedback and interaction to design and test new interfaces to 3rd party CFD tools
- Implement solver infrastructure improvements, both to ensure smooth data transfer between the solver and other GT-SUITE application and general improvements.
Education, Experience and Skills
- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or related technical discipline
- Minimum GPA of 3.5/4.0
- Excellent programming skills
- Experience with 3D CFD tools
Additional Qualifications Desired
- Fortran/C/C++
- Interest in solving system-wide problems using STAR-CCM+, FLUENT, CFX, CONVERGE, PumpLinx, scFLOW, OpenFOAM
