Gamma Technologies, LLC, established in 1994, is headquartered in Westmont, Illinois (a west suburb of Chicago). GT develops, markets, and sells an engineering simulation software, GT-SUITE, which is the system simulation software of choice for more than 600 leading corporations worldwide, including Mercedes, BMW, VW, Toyota, Nissan, GM and Ford.
Position Summary:
We are looking for a creative, talented and highly motivated software developer to join our team. The individual in this role will develop and maintain our internal automation and testing tools while also integrating Python into our core product. The suite of tools provides immediate feedback to software developers and application engineers as to the state the various components of our software such as the UI and underlying infrastructure, numerical solver, complex data handling and sharing; security (encryption, etc.), distributed computing, plotting, and 3D/2D animation.
This position will require scripting, web interface development, and DB interaction, primarily using Python while collaborating closely with application engineers, other software developers, and IT specialists.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the web interface and underlying architecture for internal testing and reporting tools
- Improve integration of internal tools with the automated software build system
- Implement Python as our core command line interface language
- Support automation processes
- Collaborate with application engineers on new automation, scripting capabilities
- Work with IT specialists to manage hardware and software involved in the automated build and testing environment
Essential Qualifications:
- BS degree in Computer Science
- Minimum GPA of 3.3 out of 4.0
- Proficient in Python
- Experience in software development environment with exposure to automation, testing and build systems
- Self-starter and fast learner with strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
Additional Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with Flask, Java, C++.
- Experience with relational databases, preferably MySQL
- Proficient use and basic administration of Windows and Linux
- Experience with source code version control, preferably Perforce
