This position is based in Westmont, IL.
Position Summary
We are looking for a creative, talented and highly motivated software developer intern to join our mechanical solver development group during the summer. The applicant will be involved in the development of GT-SUITE, a sophisticated desktop software package for simulating almost any kind of engineering multi-physics system, such as those arising in the automotive, aerospace and other industries. The applicant should be highly organized and detail-oriented, with outstanding analytic and problem-solving abilities.
Job Responsibilities
- Currently coursing a graduate program (Masters or PhD) in mechanical engineering, applied math, or any related field.
- Minimum Undergraduate GPA of 3.6/4.0
- Programming experience (Fortran/C/C++)
- Numerical methods
Education, Experience and Skills
- Finite volume and finite element methods
- Software parallelization techniques (OpenMP, Open MPI, GPGPU, etc.)
- Optimization algorithms
