Gamma Technologies develops, markets, and sells engineering simulation software called GT-SUITE. GT-SUITE is used by over 600 companies including all leading OEMs around the world. GT-SUITE comprises a state-of-the-art systems simulation solver encompassing libraries of fluid dynamic, mechanical, thermal and electromagnetic sub-models plus a sophisticated set of user interfaces including map-based and 3D-based pre- and post-processors. Position Summary
The Senior Accountant is a key member of our growing Accounting team. You will be working on a wide variety of responsibilities and will work closely with the Controller. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for a variety of corporate accounting functions and tasks including; general ledger accounting, preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast pace environment where changes and suggestions to current processes and procedures are welcomed.
Job Responsibilities
- Reconcile various general ledger accounts on a monthly basis
- Complete period end accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP
- Sales tax reporting in several states
- Processing of online vendor payments and 3rd party royalty calculations
- PTO accruals
- Maintenance of deferred revenue schedules
- Calculation of monthly book/tax depreciation
- Work with external auditors as needed
- Assist in developing and implementing policies and procedures with an emphasis on internal controls
- Recommend and implement ideas for increased efficiencies in month end and other processes
- Administer Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Education and Experience
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
- S. in Accountancy from an accredited university with demonstrated classroom excellence
- 5 to 8 years of overall general accounting experience, including month-end close processes and deadlines, with full cycle exposure desirable
- Software industry experience a plus
- Expert analytical skills are essential
- Experience with ERP software
- Experience with NetSuite
- Proficiency in using MS Office Suite and Windows-based computer applications with intermediate-to-advanced Excel skills required
