Job Duties
Senior Engineers, Applications for Westmont, IL location. Assist customers with the use of our CAE software to design and analyze their engine systems, including all leading engine and vehicle companies. Use customer feedback and interaction to design and test new product features. Interact with established and emerging companies through training classes, conferences, and marketing events. Help evangelize the critical role GT plays in helping automotive companies on the Road to Net Zero Emissions. Carry out proof-of-concept projects to demonstrate cutting edge CAE software solutions to prospective customers. Technical environment: Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, Internal Combustion Engines, and Fluid Dynamics; 1-D and system simulations using commercial CAE simulation packages – GT-SUITE/GT-POWER, AMEsim, Wave; programming languages – Python, Fortran, MATLAB; CFD simulation software packages; instructional design and teaching technical concepts.
Requirements
Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related field plus two years of experience in computer-aided engineering required. Required Skills: coursework in Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, Internal Combustion Engines, and Fluid Dynamics; 1-D and system simulations using commercial CAE simulation packages such as GT-SUITE/GT-POWER, AMEsim, or Wave; programming languages such as Python, Fortran, or MATLAB; CFD simulation software packages; instructional design and teaching technical concepts.
