Senior Engineers
Job Duties
Senior Engineers for Westmont, IL location. Design, test, and support the use of GT-SUITE engineering software to simulate multi-physics in vehicle systems involving fluid, thermal, mechanical, acoustics, electromagnetics, chemical and controls elements with a focus on valvetrain, timing and front-end accessory drive systems, and crank train systems. Assist and train new and existing customers in the use of GT-SUITE software to design and analyze their systems. Use customer feedback and interactions to design and test specifications for new product features. Carry out proof-of-concept projects to demonstrate the software capability to prospective customers. Provide component-level and system-level modeling recommendations to customers based on their needs. Technical environment: GT Suite; mechanical kinematics, multi-body dynamics, finite element analysis; Java; Python; optimization problem formulation.
Requirements
Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field plus 2 years of experience in the job offered, or in engineering, or as an Engineer required. Required Skills: experience with vehicle systems simulation software; training users on vehicle dynamics simulation software; Java; Python; optimization problem formulation.
