Job Responsibilities
· Undertake projects to research develop and test advanced computational models of mechanical engineering equipment, including engines and engine subsystems for intake/exhaust, fuel injection, cooling, and engine lubrication.
· Analyze customers’ use of GT-Power software and advice on design of intake/exhaust combustion, turbocharging and subsystems.
· Using knowledge of internal combustion engines instrumentation and controls measurement, design new software features based on customer’s detailed technical requirements.
· Build, calibrate and optimize engine and vehicle models in GT-Power. Construct engine and vehicle computational models and simulations of engine performance.
· TOOLS: 1-D Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, air flow, heat transfer, combustion, system modeling.
Required Qualifications
· Master’s in Mechanical Engineering plus 3 yrs exp required.
· Must have previous experience:
o Constructing, calibrating and optimizing engine and vehicle computational models of engine performance
o With thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, air flow, heat transfer, 1-D Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
o With internal combustion engines, including design, measurement and instrumentation and controls.
