Job Duties
Senior Engineers for Westmont, IL location. Assist customers in their use of GT-SUITE software to design, simulate, and analyze mechanical automotive systems, including electric vehicles. Perform proof-of-concept projects to demonstrate cutting-edge engineering software solutions to prospective customers. Test new simulation features for fluid and thermal systems for troubleshooting purposes. Use customer feedback and interaction to design and test new product features and improve on prior designs. Interact with established and emerging companies through training classes, conferences, and marketing events.
Requirements
Master’s degree in mechanical/aerospace engineering or related field plus one year of experience in engineering/engineering research required. Required skills: simulation software to design and analyze thermal management systems, with a focus on two-phase circuits; Researching, designing, and testing code/software for thermal applications; 3D CFD; Multi-phase flow, heat transfer; Providing technical support and troubleshooting for modeling thermal management applications; Presenting research to automotive industry stakeholders; Matlab; Tecplot/Paraview. Some telecommuting permitted.
