Job Responsibilities
Senior Engineers for Westmont, IL location. Research and devise accurate mathematical models of multi-physics phenomena spanning across fluid, heat transfer and electro-mechanical domains for vehicle systems. Implement and verify numerical algorithms for practical and high performance simulation of these phenomena. Develop, document, and maintain program interfaces (APIs) between GT-Suite software and 3-dimensional simulation tools, such as 3D Computational Fluid Dynamics (3D CFD) as well as user-authored simulation models. Identify performance bottlenecks and improve execution speed of existing numerical algorithms. Technical Skills: Star-CCM+; Ansys Fluent; Matlab; Simulink; Fortran; C/C++; Python.
Requirements:
*Master’s in Mathematics, Physics, Mechanical Engineering or any Engineering field plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or in the automotive industry modeling required.
