Job Duties
Undertake projects to research, develop and test advanced computational models of mechanical engineering equipment, including real-time modeling of automotive systems and engine subsystems for engine and transmission control systems. Analyze customer use of GT-SUITE software and perform automotive engine and system level design (thermal/flow modeling of after treatment systems, turbo systems). Carry out proof-of-concept projects to demonstrate product capabilities to prospective customers. Work with the GT development team to deliver additional tools that improve the efficiency of preparation, execution, and troubleshooting of applications. Technical Environment: GT-SUITE; HIL systems; Matlab/Simulink; AMESim; dSPaCE; ETAS; National Instruments.
Requirements
Education: Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or in Mechanical Engineering required..
Required Skills: Automotive engine design; model-based design for controls systems; system level designing (thermal/flow modeling of after-treatment systems, turbo systems), real-time modeling of automotive systems and subsystems; HIL systems; Matlab/Simulink; AMESim; dSPaCE; ETAS; National Instruments.
