Revenue Accountant / Analyst

Gamma Technologies develops, markets, and sells engineering simulation software called GT-SUITE. It is the software of choice for more than 600 leading corporations worldwide. GT-SUITE is used by over 600 companies including all leading OEMs around the world.  Our software aids in the design and optimization of products in many industries, including Automotive, Agriculture, Off-Highway Vehicles, Aerospace, Power Generation, Marine and Rail, and Industrial Machinery.

Responsibilities of the Revenue Analyst:

  • Lead monthly revenue closing process. Coordinate timing of invoicing with accounting staff.
  • Post revenue recognition journal entries and perform reconciliations to ensure revenue is properly recorded in general ledger.
  • Perform revenue analysis for monthly executive financial reporting package. Work with CFO and senior management to provide understanding of variances, trends, and opportunities.
  • Prepare analysis for quarterly BOD presentation.
  • Work with outside consultants to spearhead the company’s transition to ASC606 GAAP reporting standards.
  • Participate in quoting process for key customers with complex pricing schemes.
  • Review and approve all customer sales orders prior to invoicing.
  • Provide ad hoc analysis for CFO and executive team.
  • Continue to enhance existing KPI data capture and reporting through improvements and introduction of new ideas.
  • Work with controller and accounting staff to implement process improvements to provide more timely recognition of revenue in general ledger.
  • Participate in annual budget process.
  • Improve revenue forecasting ability.
  • Work with sales engineering staff to ensure accurate and timely integration between NetSuite ERP and new Salesforce CRM.

Preferred Qualifications

Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 5 – 7 years of experience.
  • Working knowledge of ASC606 revenue recognition standard.
  • Ability to process large amounts of data into meaningful and actionable metrics.
  • Creative, curious, and critical thinker who enjoys process improvement and problem solving.
  • Experience interacting and influencing all levels of the organization with confidence by building trust and rapport.
  • Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP system preferred. Knowledge of NetSuite’s ARM module desirable.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.).
  • Intermediate Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook skills.
