Project and Applications Engineer: Co-simulation and “X”-i-L

Position Summary

We are looking for a creative, talented and self-starting application engineer to join our Support and Applications Group to help our customers get the most out of our software and to leverage the knowledge learned from these interactions to continuously improve our software. Gamma Technologies develops GT-SUITE, a sophisticated desktop software package for simulating almost any kind of engineering multi-physics system, such as those arising in the automotive, aerospace and other industries, involving fluid, thermal, mechanical, electromagnetics, chemical and controls elements. It also utilizes a sophisticated set of user interfaces including map-based and 3D-based pre- and post-processors.

Specifically, you would join our Controls and “X”-i-L application team whose focus is on co-simulation and integration with 3rd party tools for the control of the vehicle and its subsystems. Job Responsibilities

  • Assist customers in their use of our software to design, analyze their systems and connect to 3rd party tools
  • Use customer feedback and interaction to design and test new product features
  • Carry out proof-of-concept projects to demonstrate the software’s capability to prospective customers
  • Teach training classes on use of the software and its interfaces with 3rd party tools
  • Opportunity for travel internationally, including Europe and occasionally Asia

Education and Experience

Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:

  • MS degree in mechanical engineering (or similar) with minimum GPA of 3.5/4.0
  • New college graduates or experienced engineers are welcome

Essential Qualifications

  • Experience with MATLAB and SIMULINK
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, as well as work collaboratively with colleagues

Additional Qualifications Desired

  • Experience with vehicle system simulation software such as GT-SUITE, AMESim, AVL Cruise, Matlab/Simulink, or other CAE/simulation tool
  • Experience with integration, calibration and real-time platforms from ETAS, dSPACE and National Instruments
  • Experience with C programming
