Project and Applications Engineers

Job Duties

Work with application and support team on automotive electrical applications, electric machine architectures, and Stochastic Reactor Models (SRMs). Model and simulate electrical engineering multi-physics systems for hybrid vehicles, including the design of electric motors and electrification. Assist new and existing customers in the use of GT-SUITE software to design and analyze their systems. Utilize customer feedback and interactions to design and test specifications for new product features. Carry out proof-of-concept projects to demonstrate the GT-SUITE capability to prospective customers and provide guidance on the use of GT-SUITE to existing customers. Provide component-level and system-level modeling recommendations to customer based on their needs. Tools: GT-SUITE; 2D/3D electric motor finite element analysis; electric motor drives & control; MotorCAD; Ansys/Maxwell; Matlab/Simulink.

Requirements

Education: Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or in Engineering required.
Required Specific Skills: Required Specific Skills: Must have previous experience with electric motor design, 2D/3D electric motor finite element analysis, electric motor drives & control, MotorCAD, Ansys/Maxwell, Matlab/Simulink.
