Gamma Technologies develops GT-SUITE, an engineering simulation software used by over 600 companies including all global automotive manufacturing companies.
GT-SUITE is a state-of-the-art systems simulation solver encompassing libraries of fluid dynamic, mechanical, thermal, and electromagnetic sub-models plus a sophisticated set of user interfaces including map-based and 3D-based pre- and post-processors. Position Summary
We are looking for a creative, talented, and highly motivated Product Engineer to help our customers get the most out of our software with GT-SUITE’s sophisticated user interface. GT-SUITE’s data analytics and visualization capabilities are essential for productive use of GT-SUITE and are the focus of this position.
Customers use GT-SUITE’s data analytics and visualization capabilities to understand output produced by our physics engine. This can involve data analytics techniques ranging from data smoothing and trendline generation to using sophisticated machine learning techniques to answer engineering questions. Visualization is also a key capability that allows our customers to generate plots, tables and diagrams that allow effective digestion of physical trends to make engineering decisions.
Job Responsibilities
- Define and own the long-term vision for key components of GT-SUITE’s data analysis and visualization capabilities.
- Engage with customers to identify and prioritize development opportunities to deliver best-in-class software.
- Work with customers to translate needs into design requirements.
- Generate feature proposals to satisfy design requirements.
- Manage concurrent development projects to deliver timely feature updates to GT-SUITE.
- Ensure quality features by testing & documenting UI capabilities.
- Support questions and problems with UI features internally and with customers, escalating to developers as needed.
Education, Experience and Skills
- BS or BA in Engineering, Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction disciplines, or other similar technical degrees.
- At least 3 years of professional experience.
- Minimum GPA of 3.2/4.0.
Additional Qualifications Desired:
- Experience with supporting development of other software used in the engineering industry.
- Experience with data analytics and/or visualization.
- Experience with PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) Software, such as Siemens Teamcenter or Dassault Enovia/3DS.
- Experience with Agile development methods and associated tools such as JIRA.

- The primary work location will be our Westmont, IL office. Due to COVID19, the position will initially work remotely. As of September 1st, we will be adopting a hybrid work policy.
