Payroll Specialist

Gamma Technologies, LLC (GT) is looking for a Payroll Specialist with a solid work ethic, excellent judgment, and a desire to build a long-term career with us.

Position Summary

The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of Domestic and international payroll using the UKG Global Payroll solution platform. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible in attending to frequent and urgent requests for information regarding payroll, administration of payroll, executing the policies and procedures, seeking areas for efficiencies and improvements, and supporting the overall processing needs in coordination with Human Resources with respect to benefits and other payroll related matters.

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain payroll records and process all payroll through UKG (Domestic and International), including new hire/termination information, associate changes, and other data changes
  • Respond to questions regarding paychecks, direct deposit, W-2s, and/or general payroll questions
  • Run and prepare reports on a regular basis for Payroll and other departments
  • Administer audit checks to validate the accuracy of payroll (pre-check and post-checks)
  • Administer payroll check escheatment process and garnishment notifications, if any
  • Process special requests and off-cycle payroll checks as needed
  • Maintain compliance with payroll laws, regulatory withholdings, and company policies and procedures
  • Other duties include:
    • Monthly headcount reporting
    • Annual retirement plan census and management of 401k audit
    • Actual to budget variance analysis
    • Long-term incentive unit administration (Shareworks platform)
    • Benefit reconciliations
    • HRA administration

Education, Experience, and Skills

Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is required to be considered for this opportunity
  • A minimum of five years of payroll processing experience
  • A strong technical background with the UKG payroll system is preferred
  • Excellent administrative abilities, such as attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational, prioritization, and time management abilities, as well as the ability to fulfill deadlines in a fast-paced setting
  • Strong customer service focus, including the ability to work well with internal and external customers and vendors, as well as a commitment to meeting or exceeding customer expectations
  • Advanced Excel skills involving but limited to pivot tables, lookups, condition formulas
  • Strong sense of business ethics, integrity, confidentiality, and accountability
  • Must be team-oriented, flexible, and support the company’s values
