Gamma Technologies, LLC is looking to hire a first- or second-year law student for a summer internship in its Corporate Legal Department located in Westmont, Illinois.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Support day-to-day operations of the Corporate Legal Department
- Conduct research and summarize findings on relevant intellectual property and commercial laws and regulations
- Assist in reviewing and drafting of commercial, licensing, and other agreements
- Review, summarize, and prepare legal memos, and briefings describing legal risks and opportunities
- Assist with operationalizing and improving legal workflows
- Organize and maintain documents in paper or electronic filing systems
- Assist in meetings, projects, and other duties with the Legal Department as needed
What We Look For In You
- Current enrollment in ABA accredited JD degree program or an internationally accredited law program with completion of at least one (1) year of law school required
- Availability to work at least 12 consecutive weeks (starting the end of May or early June through August)
- Exceptional research abilities and affinity
- High degree of proficiency with MS Office Suite, Outlook, PowerPoint & Internet applications
- Ability to work well independently and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion while being exposed to highly sensitive information
Additionally, the selected candidate must…
- Be able to self-provide housing and transportation for the duration of the internship
- Be legally authorized, on an unrestricted basis, to be employed in the United States
Please note, because the Intern will be expected to work onsite at our Westmont, Illinois corporate office a minimum of two (2) days per week, the selected candidate will be required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (as defined by applicable law) unless qualified for and issued an exemption.
