GT develops, markets, and sells an engineering simulation software, GT-SUITE, which is the system simulation software of choice for more than 600 leading corporations worldwide, including Mercedes, BMW, VW, Toyota, Nissan, GM and Ford.
Position Summary:
We are looking for a creative, talented and highly motivated system administrator to join our IT team. The position’s primary focus is in the areas of computer operations, user and desktop support (hardware and software), IT helpdesk, and data management. Responsibilities of the position are diverse, and will allow growth in IT and related fields.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide IT helpdesk support for personal computer hardware, software and specialized computer technology.
- Set up and configure desktop computers, peripherals
- Manage user accounts and security level
- Provide basic troubleshooting, repair and maintenance for computer equipment
- Set up and manage automated site configuration, software deployment, policy enforcement, and administrative reporting using Ansible
- Assist with automated software builds in a Linux environment
- Implement and manage data backup strategies
Essential Qualifications:
- BS degree in Computer Science
- Minimum GPA of 3.4 out of 4.0
- Familiarity with Windows Active Directory, and GPO implementation
- Proficient in Windows PowerShell, Unix Shell Scripting, Perl, or Python
- Familiarity with Linux, Windows, Networking (LAN and WAN)
- Self-starter and fast learner with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Additional Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with deployment tools, preferably Ansible
- Experience with relational databases, preferably MySQL
- Experience with source code version control tools
- Experience with any major programming languages, such as Java, C/C++
- Experience with Continuous Integration tools
Other Requirement and Notes:
- Part time or internship is possible with graduating student.
- Candidate with student visa on OPT / EAD will not be considered.
