Gamma Technologies develops, markets, and sells engineering simulation software called GT-SUITE. With roots in the automotive industry, GT’s software is leveraged by nearly all the world’s leading automotive manufacturers. Our solutions help automotive companies build more fuel-efficient vehicles that get better gas mileage and reduce emissions without sacrificing vehicle performance. The move from traditional internal combustion engines (ICE) powered by gasoline or diesel fuel to electrified vehicles presents an enormous market opportunity for GT as our software allows Electrical Vehicle manufactures and their suppliers to design better vehicles. Regulatory agencies globally have mandated that vehicle manufacturers reduce harmful environmental emission output, or they will face significant financial penalties and GT helps our clients meet these mandates.
In addition to the automotive industry, GT serves the aerospace, HVAC and marine industries.
This position is based in Westmont, IL and will report directly to our Head of Marketing.
Position Summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic marketing intern to join our marketing department and provide support for our marketing programs/activities to help achieve our goals.
As a marketing intern, you will collaborate with Gamma Technologies’ marketing, sales and application engineering teams in all stages of marketing projects and programs. Your insightful contribution will help develop, expand and maintain our marketing initiatives.
This internship will help you acquire marketing skills and provide you with knowledge of various marketing strategies. Ultimately, you will gain broad experience in marketing and should be prepared to enter any fast-paced work environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist in the creation and build out of a new WordPress-based corporate website – working with content creators to edit, SEO optimize and follow best-in-class standard for tagging and optimization of pages for improved inbound activity
- Perform competitive market analysis
- Support the marketing team in daily administrative tasks
- Assist in marketing and advertising promotional activities (e.g. social media and web)
- Presentation support
- Help collect, update branding and distribute marketing materials
- Manage and update company database and customer relationship management & marketing automation systems (Salesforce and HubSpot)
- Collect quantitative and qualitative data from marketing campaigns
- Help organize marketing events
Education, Experience and Skills
- Current enrollment in a related (junior or senior) BS or Masters’ degree program
- Strong desire to learn along with professional drive
- Solid understanding of different marketing techniques
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office
- Familiarity with marketing computer software and online applications (e.g. CRM tools, Online analytics and Google Analytics a plus)
- Passion for the marketing industry and its best practices, willingness to collaborate with a small team
Other Requirements and Notes:
- The primary work location will be our Westmont office. Due to COVID19, the position will initially work remotely.
