Gamma Technologies (GT) has a position open for a technical consulting and business development engineer. Job location is the Detroit area, and position will require a special focus and understanding of the Detroit based automotive OEM’s and their major suppliers.
Job Responsibilities
Frequent visits at OEM’s and big suppliers to understand their needs and challenges, assess the opportunities for GT, and spread the GT message – Introduce new GT applications to OEM’s, to include the potential for on-site consulting activities.
- Prospecting for new contacts, especially in vehicle departments, cultivating GT champions in these new departments. – Special focus on some specific OEM’s and especially within their EV/HEV departments.
- Development of a virtual engine calibration test cases and references.
- Prospecting for consulting business with the longer term goal of guiding a small consulting activity in Detroit
- Leading a newly developed GT-University program to initiate use of GT-SUITEmp in a selected universities
- Assisting in Detroit GT user conference organization
- Assisting in Detroit GT user conference organization
- Detroit area public training organizing and teaching – Attending various conferences and meetings: generating leads and intelligence
Requirements:
- BSME or MSME
- 15+ years industrial experience at OEM and/or major consultancy
- 7+ years of expert level experience with GT-SUITE
- Strong knowledge of virtual engine base calibration, as well as modeling of engine systems
- U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- Independent self-starter who thrives in a position where they have ownership of their role in the organization
- Frequent travel to customers in the Detroit area, as well as to the Chicago GT HQ
