GTI is offering internship opportunities for the combustion development group. GTI is the developer of GT-SUITE, a sophisticated desktop software package for simulating engine and vehicle performance. It is quite broad in scope, spanning model building, 3D solid modeling and graphics. It is capable of performing a wide range of multi-physics simulations (fluid, thermal, acoustics, electromagnetics, chemical and controls) of systems in the automotive industry. There are several projects available and the intern will be assigned based on their educational background and experience. The positions require good command over the basic thermodynamics, combustion and numerical methods.
Basic Qualifications
- MS or currently pursuing a PhD in an area relevant to this position
- Experience with any one of the following programming languages is necessary; Fortran, C/C++, Python, or MATLAB
Highly Desirable Qualifications
- Experience with CHEMKIN, CANTERA, or any other similar type of software
- Understanding of laminar flame speed calculations
- Experience with the ODE solvers like LSODE, VODE, etc.
