Growing software development company in the Western Suburbs seeks a bright, motivated addition to its Finance Department. This is a new position that will work closely with the Controller and CFO.
This position will likely evolve over time, but some of the required tasks will be:
- Model building to track KPI’s and customer data including:
- Historical data accumulation
- Trend analysis
- Graphing/Presentation-worthy versions of data for inclusion in quarterly Board packets
- Analysis of monthly customer revenue variances (Direct and Agent sales)
- Assistance in building revenue forecasts for annual budget
- Assistance with customer quotations and software renewals, including light negotiations
- Assistance with development of procedures to reconcile billed software to database
- On-boarding of new customers, including screening to satisfy Export Controls and ITAR compliance requirements. New processes to be developed and implemented.
- Assistance with required legal documentation (NDA’s and SLA’s) associated with customer transactions
- Maintenance of tax exemption certificates (US-Sales tax and Foreign-Income tax)
In addition to the above:
- Company will be choosing and implementing a new ERP system over the coming months. This position will be involved in the software transition process and asked to help identify data inputs which will ensure meaningful reports for data analytics.
- This position will be asked to assist in the preparation/maintenance of various audit workpapers and participate in account analyses/reconciliations.

The ideal candidate will:
- Have an accounting or finance degree with demonstrated classroom excellence
- Have applicable experience, including a combination of FP&A and accounting. Quality of experience will rule over quantity.
- Have an interest in the “business side” of things and enjoy contact with customers
- Have strong MS Excel skills
- As the job implies, be a critical thinker, able to identify patterns, trouble spots, and opportunities
- Have a strong work ethic; i.e.-do what it takes to get the job done both accurately and on-time
