Position Summary:
We are looking for a creative, talented and highly motivated Software Build Automation Engineer who will be part of a growing quality assurance (Q/A) team to drive the development, administration and maintenance of build/release processes supporting Continuous Integration (CI)/Test Driven Development (TDD) initiatives. The first task will be to develop a web interface (UI) for our existing Q/A and build systems while working with our Q/A team to quickly master our CAE tools, testing procedures, model structure and simulation data flow. Then continuing to improve build and parametric testing procedures with database driven automated frameworks which test output data. Identifying, establishing, and managing proof of concept environments and reporting on design outcomes to inform rapid technology advancement.
Job Responsibilities:
- Internal Q/A Portal – implement and maintain web interface for Q/A & build tools.
- Develop and maintain automated quality testing process/tools.
- Monitor/research and address production incidents
- Collaborate with developer/engineer to resolve defects detected by automated testing system.
- Troubleshoot source code management and deployment issues and participate in continuous integration objectives.
Essential Qualifications:
- BS degree in Computer Science, or Engineering and relevant experience
- Minimum GPA of 3.2 out of 4.0
- Familiarity with Python.
- Self-starter and fast learner with strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
Additional Qualification Desired:
- Experience in a software development environment with exposure to quality testing and build systems
- Experience with Python Web Frameworks, Java, Fortran, C++.
- Proficient use and basic administration of Windows and Linux
- Experience with CI tools such as Jenkins, CruiseControl.
- Experience with source code version control.
