Application Engineer – Thermal-Fluids (m/f/d)

Gamma Technologies develops, markets, and sells engineering simulation software called GT-SUITE. With roots in Automotive, nearly all the world’s leading automotive manufacturers that leverage GT software. Our solutions help automotive companies build more fuel-efficient vehicles that get better gas mileage while reducing emissions without sacrificing vehicle performance. The move from traditional internal combustion engines (ICE) powered by gasoline or diesel fuel to electrified vehicles presents an enormous market opportunity for GT as our software allows Electrical Vehicle manufactures and their suppliers, to design better vehicles with our software. Regulatory agencies globally have mandated that vehicle manufacturers reduce harmful environmental emission output or they will face significant financial penalties and GT helps our clients meet these mandates.

In addition to Automotive, GT serves the Aerospace, HVAC and Marine industries.

To support our European Team in Stuttgart we are looking for an engaged, motivated and independent employee, to support our activities in Europe.

Position Summary:
As a member of the Thermal Fluids Team you support and train our European customers in the utilization of our simulation platform GT-SUITE. Additionally, you use your knowledge on market trends, upcoming customer needs and technological developments acquired via those customer facing tasks to support the development of the GT-SUITE platform.

Your Assignment

  • Customer support for the simulation platform GT-SUITE in the application area of thermal-fluids, using our 1D, 3D CFD and FEM solution.
  • Technical support during customer software evaluation projects.
  • Technical contributions to sales and marketing campaigns.
  • Development of customer tailored simulation methodologies using GT-SUITE.
  • Expanding the usage of GT-SUITE to new markets, applications, and systems.
  • Contribution to the software development by specification, validation, and testing of new features.

Your Qualification

  • Engineering degree in mechanical-, electrical-, aerospace-, process- engineering or similar.
  • Very good understanding of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, heat and mass transfer as well as numerical methods.
  • Proficient in spoken and written English and German.
  • Willingness to think outside the box, a broad field of interest and a self-sufficient and self-organizing working mindset.
  • Willingness to regularly travel in Europe and internationally.

Additional qualifications & experience to support your application

  • Working experience in the thermal-fluid simulation area.
  • 1D flow or system Simulation (Dymola, KULI, AMESim, GT-SUITE).
  • Scientific programming (Matlab, C, Python, R).
  • Machine learning.
  • 3D CFD or FEM Simulation.
  • Systems requirements engineering.
