Application Engineer: Vehicle (Electrified and Conventional)

To assist our clients get the most out of our product and use the knowledge gained from these interactions to continually enhance our software, we are searching for a creative, talented, and self-starting Application Engineer to join our Support and Applications Group.

Position Summary

Gamma Technologies develops GT-SUITE, a sophisticated desktop software package for simulating almost any kind of engineering multi-physics system, such as those arising in the automotive, aerospace, and other industries, involving fluid, thermal, mechanical, electromagnetics, chemical and controls elements. It also utilizes a sophisticated set of user interfaces including map-based and 3D-based pre- and post-processors.

Specifically, you would join our vehicle simulation applications team whose focus is on modeling vehicle systems, for performance, EV range/fuel economy, energy management, etc.. More information can be found by viewing the links shown on this page:  GT-Suite for Automotive Simulations.

This position is with Gamma CAE Technologies, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Gamma Technologies LLC USA and can be based out of Pune or Bangalore.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist customers in India in their use of our software to design and analyze their electric and conventional vehicle powertrains.
  • Carry out proof-of-concept projects to demonstrate the software’s capability to prospective customers.
  • Teach training classes on the use of the software.
  • Opportunity for travel locally and internationally, including North America.

Essential Qualifications

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Electrical /Thermal / Aerospace engineering. Freshers are also encouraged to apply.
  • Experience with vehicle systems simulation software such as GT-SUITE, AMESim, AVL Cruise, Matlab/Simulink, or other CAE/simulation tools.
  • Strong communication skills, both in writing and speaking.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as work collaboratively with colleagues.

Additional Qualifications Desired

  • Experience with fuel economy analysis, or transmission and driveline design
  • Experience with automotive applications, including design, measurement, and instrumentation, controls, and SAE projects (Formula SAE, Baja SAE, etc.).
